Queen Elizabeth Rink Update

   Minimize
The plumbing and electrical repairs, which set us back so seriously, have been completed. All is working well inside the shack.

Sunday morning, when three of the guys went out to learn how to flood the rink, they discovered that the hose was in need of repair or replacement.

Many thanks to the staff of the Saskatoon Fire Department, specifically at fire stations # 3 and # 1 for the new hose. Even the nozzle doesn’t leak anymore!

Especially with this warmer weather, it likely is too late in the season to be worthwhile to flood the rink, we will ensure that all is working properly in time for next season.

In the meantime, we are still looking for volunteers to help with the other upgrades, to the shack, boards etc., and fundraising in the warm weather. In December, we will need volunteers to flood and maintain the rink and to supervise public skating. Keep us in mind!

REMINDER: If the temperature drops below 15 Celsius inside the shack, the red light will come on outside the shack facing Taylor Street. Please, look when driving around the neighbourhood. If the light is on, contact us immediately!

Let's continue to work to make the QE Rink the best it can be!!
