Theatre in the Park

For the 12th season of Theatre in the Park, SUM Theatre took us on a journey through the online world, in search of validation and friends who make us feel real.  This year’s story, “The Reel Whirled”, was about balancing our lives online and offline, and the pressures of living up to our digital identities.

The Reel Whirled is an original production, created by the Sum Theatre ensemble and offered, free of charge, in neighbourhood parks around Saskatchewan in May and June.  As always, the production was created in response to current issues.  It was a fun and thought-provoking performance for people of all ages.  Catchy original music and colourful sets, props and costumes brought these stories to life.

This year, QEXCA hosted SUM Theatre’s presentation in W.W. Ashley Park on Friday evening, May 24th.
