The City’s program requirements might have been changed because of the pandemic. The links below will provide details of the new regulations.

Family & Youth Recreation Programs

The following is a list of free Drop-in Activities and Registered Programs being offered for children and youth this winter.  Check out the seasonal Leisure Guide or Leisure Online for full program details.

Drop-in Activities
Registration is not required.  Drop-in during event times for some family fun.  Outdoor programming will be cancelled if the temperature reaches -25O C or below with the windchill.

Winter Play Program – Ages 6 -12
Each session is a great way for children and families to stay active and have fun enjoying the outdoors.  All equipment will be provided.
Playday in the Park Charlottetown Park, 3130 Laurier Dr. Sat., Jan. 15, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Winter Olympics Brevoort Park Recreation Unit, 3 Webb Cr. Sat., Feb. 5, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Playday in the Park Westmount Recreation Unit, 310 Avenue L N. Sat., Mar. 26, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Family Day Skate – Everyone Welcome
Cosmo Civic Centre & Arena, 3130 Laurier Dr. Mon., Feb. 21, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Bring your skates and safety gear and come out for an afternoon of FREE winter fun.
Non-skating activities will be offered outdoors and in the gym, including crafts, Indigenous teachings and more.  Please, dress warmly.

Registered Programs
Advance registration is required.  Registration for winter programs opens Sunday, December 6 at 6:00 p.m. Register online at Leisure Online or call or visit any Leisure Centre.
School Break Camp – Ages 10 -14  Feb. 22 – 24
Join us during the school break for three days of sports and activities led by qualified instructors. Register for as many sessions as you would like.
All sessions are held at Cosmo Civic Centre 3130 Laurier Dr.

Multi-Sport Sampler – Ages 7-14 Mon., Mar.7
Free! A great opportunity on the next day off school to engage in physical activity while developing new and improved skills in ice sports.
All sessions are held at Archibald Arena, 1410 Windsor St.
Participants are asked to dress warmly, bring a water bottle and a snack.
Broomball 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon Registration Code: CD1639-01
Learn to Skate 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Registration Code: CD1639-02
Participants are required to bring your own skates and helmet.

Recreational Programs & Activities

The City offers a wide range of programs each season, including swimming lessons, preschool and youth recreation programs, adult fitness and specialized wellness programs.

At its leisure facilities, the City offers a variety of registered programs for all ages, skill levels and interests.

Leisure Online allows you, at your convenience, to view and register for programs found in the Leisure Guide for preschoolers, children, youth, and adults.
In Your Community, copies of the Leisure Guide are available at J.S. Wood Library, Circle K (Ruth St. and Lorne Ave.) and Lathey Pool (in season).
